Semen Gresik Wins Communication Award and Ranks in the Top 50 Best Kartini in the Sewindu PR Indonesia Event
Rembang, September 22, 2023 – PT Semen Gresik has once again achieved outstanding recognition by winning two awards at the peak of Sewindu PR Indonesia 2023 held at Merlynn Park Hotel Jakarta on September 22. PT Semen Gresik's achievements in the categories of Communication within Influential State-Owned Enterprise Subsidiaries and the Top 50 Kartini Public Relations Professionals in Indonesia for 2023 were attributed to Yeni Indah Lestari, the Public Relations and Institutional Relations Officer of PT Semen Gresik.
The prestigious awards in the field of public relations and communication, themed "Sewindu Kami Mengabdi, untuk Komunikasi Negeri" (Our Decade of Service for National Communication), were attended by hundreds of state institutions, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), regional state-owned enterprises (BUMD), state-owned enterprise subsidiaries, and private institutions. The event was graced by the presence of the Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia, Budi Arie Setiadi.
Dharma Sunyata, Senior Manager of Communication & CSR at PT Semen Gresik, expressed his utmost appreciation and pride for PT Semen Gresik's remarkable achievements at the Sewindu PR Indonesia event. He stated, "This prestigious national recognition is tangible proof of the success of Semen Gresik in strengthening the corporate image positively and successfully communicating the company's values to stakeholders and the public," on Friday, September 22.
He continued by mentioning that the company is continually developing various innovations and initiatives in the field of communication to support the long-term positive performance of the company.
Meanwhile, Budi Arie Setiadi, the Minister of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia mentioned that based on data collected in 2023, the global PR industry reached a value of 100.4 billion US dollars in 2022 and increased to 107 billion US dollars in 2023. He said, "This growth indicates the increasingly broad and strategic role of PR, and its presence is becoming more significant."
Founder and CEO of PR INDONESIA Group, Asmono Wikan, expressed similar sentiments. He noted that over the past decade, PR INDONESIA has been accompanying the steps of public relations (PR) in the country. "During this time, the media that covered PR activities and dynamics bore witness to a profession that continues to grow over time. Eventually, the institutional positioning of PR became increasingly important and a strategic function of management, as it is today," he concluded.
